Boston Renewables has teamed up with Soanes Poultry to enhance sustainability in poultry production through a state-of-the-art solar installation. This initiative aligns with Soanes Poultry’s commitment to renewable energy, reducing environmental impact while boosting efficiency.
The new system features east-west oriented solar panels, generating 727,000 kWh annually,enough to power 269 homes. Ben Lee, Managing Director of Soanes Poultry, stated: “Following advice from John Hudson, MD at Boston Renewables, we opted for east-west oriented solar panels. Uniquely positioned to face the rising and setting sun, they offer a distinct advantage in harnessing solar energy during the early morning and late afternoon, which is when the factory’s needs are greatest.”
